Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
very nice looking chromer, I too really like that color, when I was doing some research on vettes before I settled on the one I have, I kept getting focused on the steel cities.  That is going to be a choice I have to make later on down the road, do I repaint the vette the original color, which is the rare laguna grey, or leave it the wet my pants red. Any way welcome to the site.

Very nice '72 Steve. That was the original color of my '71 before a PO painted it red. You don't see too many that color around.Thumbs%20Up

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
That was my favorite color for the 71 and 72's. I've often wondered why GM only offered it for 2 years.

Congrats Steve on the recent find. It appears as though you have had several nice vettes from what you have posted.

It must be a tremendous pleasure to be able to work each day as a part Mike's team and the corvette community.

Some of us might even consider that to be heavenly!

Thanks for all the great messages!

I have had a super time for the last 28 years, working for Mike Yager and with fellow Corvette lovers.  It has allowed me to own lots of interesting cars.

Glad to help other owners whenever I can.  My office is now in Mid America Motorworks' manufacturing facility, where we produce interiors.  We will be doing a new interior for my '72 very soon.  Should be fun seeing the leather hides become seat covers & the carpet molded.

Have a Safe and Merry Christmas !!!  (I'm a midwesterner, and we still say Merry Christmas and mean it !!!)

Steve
