Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Ok guys,
so what's the best location for the jack to go to get the car up in the air to get the stands underneath?
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

On the frame rails just aft of the front tires and in front of the kick up just forward of the rear fender wells.

I store one on a lift at the jacking points ( not much room to park on the side of a hill. Already gave up the boat for vette parking )...... So far, so good ( it's been 2 yrs. ).

I've seen guys use a floor jack in the front under the engine. Lift both sides at once then put jacks under the frame rails.
Do you suppose that does any harm?

When going up on 4 jack stands I lift from the front cross member first, position the front 2 stands, then lift the rear from the differential and postion the rear 2 stands. Reverse the steps to lower. So far no problems doing it that way.
Using two jacks lifting both sides similtaneously would work also as long as you work them pretty much together.

When jacking the car at the front cross member, it is very likely to dent. Perhaps you have seen a tool made just remove those dents. When i jack the car onto four stands I go side to side not front and back. Placing the floor jack just in front of the center cross brace. With the stands being placed just in front of the rear tires and two out as far in the front on the frame.
