Vette(s): 1975 convertible, with the hard top and power streering.it a 350 L48 with auto trans. the color is light blue.
I know this is going to sound silly, but where do you put the jack stand  when you put the rear of the car on stands.I was told by this fellow I was putting them in the wrong place.I put them on the frame just in front of the rear wheels. The only reason that I'm asking is when I have the car on stands(working on the rear of car) my door gaps change. They go back to normal when car is back on the ground.
                                    Thanks Rick

I had never thought to look at the service manual Joel posted, but have always used exactly those locations.  And yes, the door gaps change.  The frame does flex a little.  Just make sure you are supporting the car in the factory suspension locations if you are working on anything that requires alignment or doing any bodywork.

Rick, This is what i would add to Joel's pictures. If i am going to rotate my

tires i use two floor jacks at the points shown at the same time and on the same side but i open the doors first just so they are not latched and on the C5 i also pop the trunk, can't hurt.               Butch
