I have a 1977 corvette and with a burned interior I found a one in the paper from the firewall back for 1000 bucks is this a good deal.

I think it is a good deal if it is in excellent condition! A whole new interior from ecklers and other suppliers is anywhere from $1,500 to $1,700.

If all you are looking for is the interior coverings it better be in great shape. If you need the complete seats,dash,consloe,and rugs it may be the cheapest and best route. If you have to replace all these components it will cost you a whole lot more.
Go to one of the catalogs and start pricing what you need vs. what you will use out of the salvage piece. The difference must be weighed against the condition of the finished product and the fact that the used stuff will be twice the work. Once to remove and once to replace.

Is that seats, door panels, column, dash, wiring? If you get all that in good shape I would say that is a good deal. As you know 77 has several 1-year-only-parts.

Check to see no wires were burned and no fiberglass in the floor has beeen damaged. Will it start?
