Insurance Whats best?

I'am using my regular carrier for my 71 and 68 paying close to $800 per year per car for $12000 in coverage per car. I drive each car less than 3000 miles per year and usually on the best of days unless I get caught in the rain. I think most of us drive are vette's in only the best of weather. Am I paying to much or using the wrong type of carrier for classic cars? Mine are in storage for the winter months now with reduced rates for storage. If anybody has any better ideas I would like try something different in the spring.

There's a number of insurance carriers that specialize in classic cars. I use American Collectors Insurance, Inc. for my two Vettes and a '67 Dodge Charger. I find them reasonable, there's no deductible, and I'm allowed I believe 2500 miles per year. There are a few other restrictions. You can compare them to other companies as well. There's Condon & Skelley and others. Do a web search and you'll find plenty to contact for rates.

I TOO USE AMERICAN COLLECTOR AND HAVE FOR YEARS ON THE '68. NEVER A PROBLEM, HAD ONE CLAIM, HANDLED PROMPTLY AND NO QUESTIONS ASKED! THEY ARE REASONABLE IN RATES, AND SO FAR A GREAT COMPANY.

Also have American Collectors for my 81.
You'll need to have the car appraised.
Limit 2,500 miles per year.
No one under the age of 25 can operate the vehicle.

try Haggerty's classic car insurance we pay $135 a year for it. you have to tell them you drive under 10,000 miles a year. and it isn't your regular driver

I use Hagerty as well, $186 yearly for 20k worth of insurance. They told me they like to see 2500 miles yearly put on the car, but never asked for mileage.

Lots of options out there and all should be cheaper than your regular insurance carrier. Here are just a few. Best price seems to depend on vehicle being insured and address where vehicle is garaged. Shop around and find the best deal for you.

I have mine through www.condonskelly.com Very reasonable. Agreed value, no appraisal required. Most all of these will require enclosed garage, another car to drive, 2500 or so miles per year max.
