Hey, Matt!
Congrats on the deal, and drivin' it home!! If you come thru the Dallas area on I-20 or I-30, you're welcome to stop & stay here, too. I'm not 2 blocks off of I-20. Good luck on the trip, and have fun for all of us!!

If you make down 79 in WV. We are only 10 mins away. Welcome to stay here. Love to see the 69 in person. My friend in town has a 69, (427 390horse) for sale $35,000. Would love to have a picture of them together. Vettebeige81

Matt I used to think I liked you
I am soooooo NVUS of that road trip.. Man wish it was me. Maybe some day. Good luck looks like lots of offers to sleep over, you might as well sell or house and live on the road for awhile, here is another offer for ya, if by chance you get turned around and end up on the Washington coast, you can crash at my place, just a thought. Larry

Thinking my wife and 2 year old son wouldn't like that too much
. If I get turned around and end up in Washington state then I have no business being on the road at all!
C'mon now Larry, you still like me
. I'm just lucky to have some down time to go get it myself.
And to everyone who said...thank you for the generous offers to crash at your houses. I will absolutely let you know if the times of day that I'm rumbling through allows me to take you up on them.

I'd offer too, but I don't think Michigan is on your planned route.
Have fun and try not to get any speeding tickets along

Looking forward to hearing about the trip. Just reading everyones
responses makes me think that this could be a great trip home. Stopping
and meeting folks along the way. Cell phones and numbers should make
the trip fun too.

Enjoy the trek...!!! Lots of driving but it will take a long, long time (if ever) for the smile to fade!

Thanks Jim
Yup it sure is a ton of driving, but I've done the cross country thing 3 other times. Twice in my '93 Z28 (piece of cake) and once in a late 80's/early 90's diesel U-Haul towing a car...that one was a slow, never ending nightmare.Laguna70 38391.4546527778

Thanks Jim
