Hi,
I just bought my my first Vette two weeks ago, I should hopefully have a semi-decent picture up soon. I hardly know anything about cars but I'm determined to change that now!

Welcome aboard Forrest...!!!
Bought my "toy" just under two years ago. I'm not much of a driveway mechanic either, but with the patient tutoring of several friends and relatives I've learned alot. You'll find lots of friendly folks here as well who are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience with you.
Enjoy!

I added a pic to my sig last night, it isn't to high quality since it is basically an image capture from my camcorder, but you get the idea. (hey, at least this way I can successfully hide the blemishes right? hehehe)
I'm hoping this afternoon I will be performing my first oil change ever hehehe

Welcome to the world of Corvettes. Fun cars for sure. C-3's are pretty easy to work on and to bad on the wallet in comparision to some of them. One thng for sure, you will be come a mechanic to some degree or be looking for a second job to pay someone else to do it...LOL....Get a good manual and you will be fine. Lots of great info on the forums and guys all are willing to give you their input. For many they get as much enjoyment out of working on them, some by choice, some not by choice....... They are 25 years old or better so seems to always be something to do on them to make it a little tighter, better, faster etc. I like to trade around with them, but keep this one pictured here as my driver. The rest I don't get attached to. This one here I rescued and I just enjoy it. Its kinda like I am, got a little age on it, rough around the edges, but keeps on running. Great bunch of guys on here, take advantage of their wealth of knowledge. Swampy
