I hear folks talk about RAT motors. What exactly is a RAT motor?

A RAT motor is old school talk for a big block Chev V-8 -- 396, 427, 454, etc.
The small blocks were called "Mouse" motors.
Can't remember when or why the terms started...

Nor did I, thanks for the info.
Martin, I really like the look of the rubber bumper years aluminium wheels on the chrome bumper years. What size tires do you have mounted on them? They look to be slightly oversized (and look GREAT by the way!).

Jim,
Thanks...I wanted alum rims, but also wanted to stay with stock vette rims.
The tires are Goodyear P255/60R15's. No problems with clearance...but they do fill the wheel wells....just the look I was after.
