You guys doesn't the NCM still do build sheets? Or were they doing window stickers? I've got kinda the same problem. I'd like my door sticker made since they had to put on a new drivers side door. A guy in my club said that he'd try to duplicate it, put it on sticky paper. If that don't work, my friend Greg who's my Steve's neighbor works for Verizon. He will have one of their people that's good at this kind of stuff do it for me....no charge even! I'll have to put that on my list for things to do! lol

I don't think the NCM does the older cars. Only the Bowling Green built cars. And you can get a duplicate of the build sheet and the window sticker I believe. ~Juliet

The NCM can get you a copy of your build sheet...but only Vettes that were built in Bowling Green.
anything that was built in St. Louis is ''lost''.

Hey Deb, how can they do the build sheet? I am curious. Do they use the VIN or what? I'm not sure where mine was built. I will have to look at the sheet, I know it said where, but dont remember. It would be really nice to have a window sticker too.

The NCM has all the info of every Corvette that has been built at the Bowling Green Plant (since 1981).
I am not sure how it works I have never done it since I KNOW ''Rosie'' was built in St.Louis...go to the NCM site.

but since yours is a 74 it and was built in St. Louis..the NCM won't have any info on it.

Hi Deb, do you happen to know why all those "files" were lost from the St. Louis plant? You sure would have thought that GM would have to keep the basic records on like every car they built in case of recalls, lawsuits that kind of thing. I find that interesting over and above being a pain in the toucheee for you with older Vettes. But maybe they weren't that concerned with record keeping back then either.

I don't know the whole story behind it...just that the records from St. Louis were/are not available.
I suppose a call to GM headquarters might give answers...but somehow I doubt it.
I did send away for an info pak from GM...but all I got was the basic 1979 ..not the individual one for MY Vette.
There is a number you can call..will have to dig around a bit to find it.

Mostly what I got from the original owner...that is who I bought it from..I have stacks of papers...maintence work..etc etc etc....but no build sheet or window sticker.
I have tried to break down my VIN....so far have found out (thru trial & error) some things about my Vette..for one it is a RPO Delete...never did have A/C..has the Gymkana suspension...heavy duty towing package..WHY?? I have NO idea! *LOL*..it was also an Export Vette..originally went to Canada..so it has metric gauges.
