see this site for tire size comparisons

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

you can view from side and end 275 60 15 are only 1/2 inch wider than my 255-60-15s but they are 1 inch taller raising your rear gears by 3.50% and actually making the car slower. do some figuring whith this link

Vette(s): 1975 Coupe NOM 350: Edelbrock 64cc heads, QJet clone, Performer manifold & cam, gear drive and water pump; MSD ProBillet dist and 6A box, Comp rollers, Hedman headers into true duals, Magnaflow cans,TH400 w/shift kit, TT2's, 3.70RA, hi-rise hood
Round numbers, about $200 each for polished aluminum; chrome is about $100 more.

3.5" backspacing is perfect for a 15X8. Recall one of the magazines (CF?) did a how-to with 4" BS 'new generation' 16" Cragars ... and needed spacers to finish the job because of interference with the parking brake cable.

Hey Kyle,

I have 16X8 TT II's with a 4" backspace and they fit perfectly on my '70. They just clear the parking brake cable brackets on the trailing arms, so there's no need for wheel spacers. I got my set from Summit Racing along with a Gorilla wheel mounting kit (valve stems, lugs, locks). The wheels just bolted up with no mods to the car, and no interference. I currently run 255/50WR16 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires. Wider tires may fit in later model Vettes, but I wouldn't go any wider on my car.

Yeah, the wheels on Chris's "Killer" '69 are pretty sweet. I am a big fan of the wheel shown here:

Not a lot of people are doing it on a C3, but it still seems to be a popular style.
