Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Good point. As I tell my students. There are no always correct answers.
And Everything in a car is a trade off. You always give up something to get something.
On the "Tail of the Dragon"
(some day, no strike that, October 2008 it turned red, still in progress!)

Vette(s): 1969 C3 Coupe. Was an L-46 now a ZZ3 w/M-21 4-speed, manual steering and brakes, 3.70 Posi. Red with Balck interior, non-numbers matching.
True, a lot depends on the driver, the type of driving and personal preference and experience.
In my travels, I have actually had better luck in using mechanical secondaries with an automatic and the vacuum with a stick. I also prefer using mechanical secondaries on a big block- Regardless of trans, since the sheer size will usually accomodate on over-zealous right foot.
On a 'small' engine, such as the 350 Chevy, I think my best all-around street driving experience will be with the vacuum carb. Dumping the gas at low speeds in the wrong gear will only cause my car to buck and bog- Where I think the vacuum carb will tend to keep me out of trouble |cheers| Everyone is different, that is the beauty of choice! Thanks for the input!
