your right JR a nice ride listening to the sound eminating from the side pipes, reminds me of my old harley days.Yeah and watching people checking out your machine with envy and the kids gauking with there little faces up on the windows. |devil| but what the hell, give the kids a little show of power, vette power that is, in my case L71 power, bigblock power, do a 25mph roll and SMOKE EM you want priceless. |eek|

Oh, I'll throw in a little rubber in second once in a while for show. I'd get a heckuva lot more looks if mine looked like your jewel. Beauty! Just that "shark" in a goldfish bowl feeling is generally enough fun for me.

Eight eyes, one cruiser. The odds are still in favor of the cruiser. |cussing| Oh well. |ohwell|

Vette(s): 79 L82 auto other then the indego blue paint, headers with chambered exhust and rims its all unrestored original with 68000 mi
In my opinion we didn,t buy these and spend countless hours working on them just to look at and say we have one, otherwise we would just stick 6cyl in them and super high gears for better gas milage and just never open the hood. After all, thats what happened to the camero and mustang and all other cars worth having. I usally drive mine like i'm on a sunday drive but if I ever get to the point where I'm afraid to "GET ON IT" I,m selling it and getting a minivan. |cool|

Don't get me wrong, guys, my car is by no means a Sunday driver. It gets put through it's paces quite often. By that I mean it's more of a handling car and that's more my cup of tea. Could it smoke'em, probably, I'm just not into drivetrain abuse (love seeing someone else do it). Anyway, that's my opinion.

Hey, I have a Minivan, and never once lit up the tires. Well it won't anyway.
I have never lit up the tires on my Vette. But then it isn't on the road yet.
What about some of my other cars? Well, I may have.... |devil|

Some of the things I have done with a car should not be discussed. It might make someone question my sanity. Sure was fun |devil|

Vette(s): 1980 currently being restored/ cutomized
Hey guys,
I have been driving my vette for 5 years straight, everyday, all seasons. The car hasn't seen 4000 rpm in most of those years. When I got it, it had 43,000 original miles, now it has 123,000, burns no oil, runs smooth. My clutch is over 2 years old and still hasn't been adjusted at all. I think alot of that is due to the way I drive it. I have had to replace alot of parts, but it has been great overall. When the motor goes I will put another one in and start over. If I drove it hard, I'm sure I would be telling another story. If you have a tow truck on call and extra money, I guess you can drive it any way you like, but I'm sure it would be running like a hand me down mustang 5.0 from a high school parking lot. |hammer| This also doesn't mean I don't throw her sideways once in a while. You have to strike a balance. What's power without restraint? |no-no|
