Vette(s): 1981 - 59 Beige over Cinnebar leather. Edlebrock top end, 2200 stall w/shift kit, 3:55s, Mufflex maniback exhaust, nice stereo, 16 in AREs w/BFGs
Few things - Ditto GM never put a 5sp in these cars.  BUUUUUUUUUUUT I may disagree with Guru Joel, IF this car is nice and needs less than 3k worth of work, it maybe worth picking up. I like the 5sp and the L82.  Keep in mind ALL CORVETTES NEED WORK! Another area of concern is the T-arms which could be a fortune (my rear end rebuild was over 5k).  Leaky brakes are common as are issues with the Qjet. This is all stuff us c3'ers live with. We would not have it any other way.
 
I also see you're from my area. If it would help, a good friend of mine owns THE Corvette and muscle car shop in the area. They could go thru the Vette w/a fine tooth comb.  Heres my cell if I could be of help  973 997 6343.  Kevin.
