Does anyone know of a vendor that sells horn buttons for '77 that are already painted? I have a red '77 and that is the only piece that I need and the interior will be completed.
Thanks

Hey Larry,
I looked around but I could only find paint to match horn buttons. You may want to call Contemporary Corvette and ask them if they have one... here's a link to their webpage.. http://www.contemporarycorvette.com/ Let me know if you happen to come across a brushed aluminum button with an emblem from before the recall. I'd like to get an extra one for my car. Thanks.

I believe that you can only purchase "paint to match" buttons. So if your horn button is still in good shape, just order interior paint in your color and shoot it yourself. Then you'd have paint left over for touch-ups on the kick panels, trim parts etc. in the future. You must have a late production 77' as the early production models had a stainless horn button. These buttons where a recall....due to sun glare. They were replaced with color matched vinyl buttons. If your Vette is an early production, then its possible that yours has the recalled button change.

I saw a stainless button on ebay this past week. It was up to $144.00 and it hadn't closed yet.
