I purchased a new hood support from fullThrottle Corvette. It comes with the attwood logo on it and metal finish, my question is, how was the original did it have the metal finish or was it painted gray.

The hood support would originally be silver cad plated, but it would have some body colored paint on it, since it was installed before the body was painted. It would also have some black-our paint on it, from when the bottom of the hood was painted black.
