How difficult is the hood release project to accomplish on an 81?

This topic has come up a lot over the years. Threads in this forum and the Engine and Body forums should help. Having an assembly manual for your year would also be helpful.
M.Y.s '68 thru '72 were more difficult due to the vacuum actuated wiper door assembly. I believe access was a bit better after the wiper door was eliminated.
