honest mechanic

can anyone recommend an honest mechanic in the Fortlauderdale area.
One who has knowledge and is not looking to take your kids college fund for fixing your ride.

You might try Gold Coast Corvettes. The dealer I bought my car from is in that area and that is who he uses for all his work. I went to the shop to get the car we were looking at up on a lift. Looks like a good place to me.

Zenon Magda is the head-honcho...pretty straight shooter.

Zen is "the man" in Ft. Lauderdale. I bought my vette in Ft. Lauderdale in '01 & had Zen give it a 2 hour work-over before I actually bought it. He itemized everything that was not perfect with the car & I worked with the seller to have certain work done. Zen really knows his stuff & is a straight shooter. He's in business because he loves vettes -- he didn't seem like he was driving a Ferrari on the side if you know what I mean.
