I can't believe it, no sooner do I get my car running great, the season comes to an end . Even though I've had my share of mechanical problems, and complained all summer, I'm now having withdrawal    symptoms . She's wrapped and bagged, and won't be seen until late March or early April. I should be thankful that I'm not spending any money on it until then. But I could be working on next year project  Lets see, new carb & manifold, timing chain, maybe a cam and some other internal goodies, polished rims with new tires. This should keep me busy. (and broke) Have a Great Holiday Season

Oh my, I feel for you folks that put your Vette's away for the winter.

I keep mine drive ready. Go out and start them up and at least take them around the block every now and then during the winter months (when there is no snow and the salt has washed away).

Not sure I could stand the withdrawal pains.

I don't think I could put mine away. I would have to move. We are spoiled, we can drive our cars all year, except for about 20 bad weather days.

Some of you guys are real lucky that you can enjoy your cars all year long, or near to all year long.

Even though mine is in the garage for the winter it isn't out of mind. You need some down time to prep it for the next driving season. Last winter was a new interior, radiator and trans rebuild. This winter is a rebuild of the front suspension. I rebuilt the rear suspension when I bought it. Not much longer and I will have gone through everything. By doing this I don't have to worry about problems during the summer.

I agree with you Glenn, wintertime is project time. I think I like this time spent making upgrades as much as motoring around. (At least thats what my wife tells me!) She just doesn't share that same sense of pride as I when I rollout in the spring after those little things have all been completed.

Winter ?????? We's got summer arriving here !
Have just returned from a 2 day 320km (that's 200 miles
to you heathens) round trip in the Vette, and it ran
sweet as. (phew!) After reading for the last few months
about your summer sojourns in your cars as the rain and
snow fell here, it's gonna be nice to turn the tables
(well for a little while anyway !)

As a Hoosier Heathen it is nice to know that somewhere in the world it is currently fit for Sharks. It is 36 outside with just a hint of snow falling this morning. But then again that is what Thanksgiving day is supposed to replicate here.
Enjoy the sunsine while you can for all of us who can't!
