Hi Glenn
Myne are definitely chrome.
Now , I don't know if the ones offered in the catalogues of the big vendors are alu or chrome ?
It is possible to chrome alu, might be expensive. May be worse to find out.
Thanks for advising the difference as I would have just ordered one in case of need, without asking about the finish.

Gunther,
Yep, they sure do look chrome and they do look fine. It is a shame they are so expensive. A waste of money to buy them and then send them out to be chromed. A nice used polished aluminum set ( CHEAP ) would be worth the expense of the chroming.

Hi Juliet.

Thanks for the welcome.
You got a nice selection of Vettes.
I wonder how you can do this. I have problems keeping my budget under control on only one. |laugh|
How do you decide , which one to drive ?
I'm already in a dilemma deciding, if I should drive the bike or the Vette. |toungecool|
Both are only driven during good weather. |devil|
I saw you found to the german forum as well. Do you speak or understand german ?

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
Hey Glenn, That vette of yours sure is a great looking car. I really like the wheels . What brand are they? The paint looks like it is about a foot thick, too. My vette is all original, and not quite as good lookin as yours. The paint has a couple of bad spots on it, as it is 23 years old, but the interior is a solid 9.9.. I have the rallye wheels on it, as they were original, but I would like to get a set kind of like yours. Those sure look good. |smile|

Gunther,
You'll really like it here. Fun people with lots of knowledge about all kinds of things. I've already learned some stuff just from reading, and have saved pages specific to my baby. Enjoy the site, Adam's done a great job!
