i just bought a 1974 vette,i decoded the vin but do not know where the rpo codes are located.please help

If you are lucky there is a document on top of the gas tank. You have to remove the tank to find it. Not something you do with out some planning. The color codes and build date are on a plate in the drivers door frame (front). Do you mean you didn't get a window sticker with the car documentation? Just kidding......
