Help Decoding 1970 Protect-o-Plate

Hello, I'm looking at buying a 1970 corvette convertible owner claims its an LT-1.  Is there anyway the Protect-o-Plate will have codes on it to confirm?  I'm posting a pic of the POP.  Any help identifying the info would be appreciated.

The protect-o-plate will not have that info for the '70 model. GM didn't start including the engine codes in the VIN until '72.
Can you get the stamp numbers off of the pad on the engine? that would confirm the engine as an LT-1. The engine suffix numbers, date, and partial VIN are stamped in the block just ahead of the passenger side head. Here's a pic of a '70 LT-I engine stamp pad.

I have a pic of the stamped pad on the engine but for some reason I can't share it.... I keep getting error messages?  The engine is out of the car and currently dissassembled.  This is what is stamped:

 
70S415899             V0b30CTK or maybe it reads V0630CTK  the third digit is hard to make out.
 
 
 
The transmission is stamped 70S415899   and P0C05B
 
 
Also, Do yo know what these number represent that are on the POP?

CTK is a valid suffix for a '70 LT-1Holley carb, solid lifter, Transistor Ignition, with a 4 speed.Thumbs Up

Don't know about the info/numbers on the POP, tho. Prolly dealer info.

To post a pic, the pic must first be a reasonable size in order to upload it. Use the Image icon, and follow directions there. Make sure you're using a jpeg type file(or one of the other types allowable), and there are no spaces in the file name. Resize the pic to around 400 pixels, and see if it will load. btw..the engine and trans DO have the same VIN stamp...so that's good news! Looks like it IS an original LT-1 car.Thumbs Up

Thanks!!  So the protect-o-plate really doesn't say much about the car except verify the VIN but really nothing concrete to prove its a LT1?  Does having the POP increase the value or is it a buyers preference?

The original Owner's Manual w/POP does add to the desirability of the car, when it comes time to sell. Some folks don't really care, but a real aficionado will pay a little more for good documentation.
btw..since the VIN on the engine and the trans match, the only other thing you need to verify the CAR is a true LT-1, is the VIN on the frame...and of course, the VIN on the car itself(in the window).
