Vette(s): 1982 corvette crossfire production numer C5101985. Color is silver and claret. All original numbers match. slight mods to crossfire for better efficiancy and power balanced and added fuel pressure assembly between throttle bodies,
nope no body damage at all. just steering and some scrapes on the under carrage. oil pan ok, trany pan ok. no holes in exhaust, no cracks in fiberglass that I have found.

You are soo lucky you got away that easy! I know it's bad as it is, but it could have been so much worse! I know your ego took a beating, though! I know my wife wouldn't let me live it down. Even these guys gave me a beating over me backing into my Vette with my truck! Make sure you check the date code on those tires!

ok so I went out and checked over the vette's tires. the date code puts them new in 2001. had I known that they were 10 years old I would have never driven the car. I am getting new tires, but it looks like she'll sit for the summer so I can save up for them. I found a guy here locally who say's he might have 2 rims in his shop that are identical to mine. so hopefully I will not have to install the original rims on her.

Just wanted everyone to know. Thank you for letting me know about the date code on tires. that information is very helpfull on the driving safety of the vette.

Yes I had a tire blow out this summer Only going 45 and inside lane, had I been going faster or in traffic and inside lane???.... After II rechecked the tires and even though it had great tread they were to old, and a miss read of date did not help, posted it because I was clueless on the age of my tires, not worth it now I have some body paint touch up tp do. Glad your safe, you,ll be on the road before you know it. Mark

Well looks like my vette is going to be parked for awhile. I just found out how bad my credit is and gathering 3k for repairs is gonna take me awhile. Cry

Hope you all have fun this summer.... I may be able to polish out the car and maybe change out the oil pan, flex plate cover and tranny pan but thats about it.....

nope.
thats why Im swiching to an insurance company that will cover stuff like what happened. I called them when it happened and i got the run around. so if they arent gonna cover little stuff then its not really worth my money to continue to just give to them.
