Hi Everyone, I'm in the market for a portable GPS for my C3. I have looked a Garmin  nuvi, models, 255w, 260w, 750, so here is my question. Has enypne purchased and used one of these? What is nice is turn by turn directions, speak directions, mph indicator, and another is to find a nice resturant and have the address and phone displayed. I guess it could be bluetooh model, but does'nt need to be. I know there are other brands out there like Magellan, and Tom Tom to name a few. So give me some ideas, Thanks.

Steve, I have two Garmins a hand held for walking hiking or 4 wheeling and one for the cars. Mine is a c330  maybe? An older model but I love it on trips. You can search out anything food, gas (by brand) street address etc.
I do not travel without it. Mine does not have the mp3 bluetooth or that stuff but it works just fine in a C3.
Now when they come out with the model that lets me know where all the laser is at........I'll upgrade! Evil%20Smile

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
There is one I saw advertised in Car and Driver that does tell you where the speed cameras and red light cameras are located.  It has a data bank that is constantly updated with all known locations.

Too much cash for me, but very neat.

I have both the Tomtom and the Garmin.  I like the Garmin far more than the Tomtom as the voice alert gives advance notice of upcoming turns and the Tomtom gives it just as you PASS the turn.  Annoying, to say the least.

I'm a long time Garmin fan. Had several handhelds with maps for hiking, boating, skiing (track vertical feet) and Geocaching.
Picked up the Garmin Nuvi 760 this past fall. I love it, does everything except wipe your, well never mind. Came with traffic alerts and delays. Tells you how far ahead the delay is and how many minutes you will loose. I let that expire cause it cost $ and I don't need it unless I venture out of maine. I like that you can fly along cause you already know it's gonna tell you when to turn, so you don't have to waste much time looking for a street. If you do use it on a trip, still bring a map cause these things can sometimes tell you to do something that don't make sense. Every day they get better and better and cheaper and cheaper.

I have an Intellinav, It has turn by turn voice navigation. MP3 capability, restruant & popular place search, favorite storage, cell phone voice service, photo storage, and probably some other bells & whistles I missed. I bought mine new on Ebay for $75.00. All in all a nice little unit and less expensive than the Big Guy Brands who you pay a hype tax for.
