I agree that you should have your insurance go after their insurance. That's why they have insurance, to pay for their mistakes.

In my line of work we move explosives and missiles every day... bottom line... the driver is "responsible for his load". If he can not be sure it is secure it should/will not leave.... thats why you pay for their service...

I've had AAA for about a year, and haven't had to use it yet. Stories like this are making me wonder if I should start carrying a cheap video camera with me so i can document the condition of the vehicle before it's towed. Seems a little silly (I'm looking back while typing this and shaking my head...), but it might prove beneficial. Actually, I always take my cell phone with me - maybe I should just upgrade to one that can take video clips...
