Sorry to hear that.  The recommendations of dw, Mick and Adam are 100% true.  Go on the offensive, replace your damage and sue them!  Why should you be the loser?

BTW, it took me from 1 Oct 06 into Jan of 07 to get it settled, but they did and it will cover the damage.

They also damaged 71Shark's brand new concrete pad in front of his shop.  They ended up paying for it as well.

Sorry to hear that.

I agree that you should have your insurance go after their insurance. That's why they have insurance, to pay for their mistakes.

In my line of work we move explosives and missiles every day... bottom line... the driver is "responsible for his load". If he can not be sure it is secure it should/will not leave.... thats why you pay for their service...

good luck!

Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary L82 4spd (M21) Red Leather. Pace Car is in the hands of a new caretaker.
Took the wifes Sable into a tire dealer for a little work and when it was done the mechanic backed it into another customers car. They said, don't worry about it, we got good insurance, get your car fixed, you're covered. But and a BIG BUT, the other car was hit by my car, as I'm sitting in the waiting room, so they think my insurance should pay for the other car. I went nuts and said no way. Told my agent, you pay, I cancel policy. They even said the owner of other car might sue me.  Went on for 3-4 weeks and they finally paid for the second car.
Moral of Story: Try to be too nice and someone will crap on you.

[QUOTE=jgoglick]

I've had AAA for about a year, and haven't had to use it yet. Stories like this are making me wonder if I should start carrying a cheap video camera with me so i can document the condition of the vehicle before it's towed. Seems a little silly (I'm looking back while typing this and shaking my head...), but it might prove beneficial. Actually, I always take my cell phone with me - maybe I should just upgrade to one that can take video clips... Geek
