Anyone ever repaired a rusted frame on drivers side of 1979 16 inches forward and including the usual drop in front of the rear wheel. First choice of course would be replacing the entire frame. Also car sat in barn for past 9 years and now after buying it there is no power whatsoever to anything from the battery.

Never actually done that big a job meself, but they DO make repair sections of frame for the cars. Cut and weld. Need someone that knows what they're doing to get it done right. Best to remove the body to do it. In the end, by the time you buy the repair section, and pay a qualified welder/frame guy to do it, swapping the frame might be a better option, cost-wise.

Not sure if you are a NCRS member, but I see Corvette USA always advertise in NCRS Driveline magazine.

Try www.corvetteusa.com
Costs looks reasonable.
Have you checked our sponsor, Bair's. They have a frame resto service and have a 79 they are parting out.

Thank you. I did find, so far, Paragon up here in Michigan an hour from me that sells a huge list of parts. I was surprised to see the frame and bird cage parts they sell brand new.

you can pretty much get any part you want for the older cars. The restoration of classics is a multi billion dollar business these days.
