We all should have extinguishers in our vettes. Car fires get out of control QUICK and  an extinguisher needs to be handy.  At the moment I'm carrying at dry powder  hoping Santa will bring a halon unit which will not make nearly as big of a mess and really hope I never need either one of them. Got it mounted within easy reach of the drivers seat.

Chip, I remember you doing that, forgot how you said you had to mount it?
Very clean installation, not surprised as you can eat Christmas dinner off your Vette it's so detailed.

Chip you make a good point. I always had one mounted to the floorboard of my 4wd vehicles becuses carb fires were frequent in some of the places we took the trucks.

I had them on the fenderwells and trunk compartments of my early muscle car days as a teenager.

I haven't given it much thought until after you mentioned it for the vettes. Even after seeing where a bumpercar burnt to the ground at Funfest it never sunk in.

Thanks man I am going to add 2 for my winter mod list and place 1 in each of the cars while they are in hiding this winter.

Hey Dennis, I have one of those air filters and it has a metal plate across the bottom with holes in it that acts as a flame arrester. Lets hope it works.
I have an extinguisher mounted to the back of the drivers seat.

I've got mine at the base of the passenger seat.  Had it on the tunnel on the passenger side, but momma thought there could be a better place for it so we moved it to it's current location.

I like the mount idea Chip has though, as well as his speaker mounts (expect a PM, dude).

Very clean setup you have.

Thanks for the compliment ebo.  The fire extinguisher has a flat bar metal brace under it with the clamp band mounted to the bar.  The bar is mounted with screws through into the wheel well.  Just look before drilling, to make sure you arent drilling into something underneath.  I tried several different locations before deciding on the present location but chose this one because from a normal driving position I can reach behind the passenger seat and unlatch the extinguisher and have it in hand before exiting the car.
