Crazy how life always takes time/money away from the toys you want to play with the most!

Paint jail is it's own monster...I almost have to add 50% more time than I am quoted

Glad your projects are all coming together!

Be better to wait on the paint anyway, until the weather warms up a bit more. Prolly get a better quality job then. Thumbs Up

I have 2 different wiper switch / vaccum override brackets.
one is from a 68 and the other from a 69.
can you tell me which is which? also should the knob be solid black or black with chrome?

I do not know the answer, but just going by the two different brackets, I would say the one in FRONT is for the '68. You'll notice the one in front has only two holes in it to bolt it to the lower dash, and the one in the rear has two bolt holes, and two other holes I believe are to line up the trim panel. '68s withOUT A/C, and all EARLY '68 cars had the over-ride panel mounted farther to the passenger side, closer to the center of the car than the later cars, so the bracket is different on them.

I can't say I've ever noticed a wiper switch with the shiny center, but looking in the parts books shows that they DID have them. I would venture a guess that the solid black knob is for the early '68 car you have the bracket for. That's my story, and I'm stickin wid it...LOL  Thumbs Up

Thanks...

That was my thought as well.

Does anyone have a 69 (even better if it is a late 69) to check their bracket?

Thanks Joel.  That is perfect.
I need to move the switch and the best valves to the other bracket and use the chrome topped knob.

I am on the downhill slope.  It has only been 11 years, 3 moves, 3 kids and numerous other cars, projects and distractions later

Man, Ben, that paint looks awesome! Different but extremely beautiful! Really can't wait to see it all together (as you are, too, I bet!)!
