My 72 - 4 speed has the fixed cross member. Anyone have details or plans to build a removable one?? Any ideas would be greatful.

Get your saw ready, because you are going to have to hack it out of there, then become creative on some brackets and other parts to mount it back in a bolt on application.
One big trick is to get a auto trans bolt up x member, then have it modded to bolt in.
You will need a cut off wheel, sawsall, and some hand tools to carefully cut the old one out without too much heat (fire hazzard).
Why do you want to do this?
I have had my share of clutch issues, and now can yank the trans out in less than an hour, with the bulk of the time jacking the car up in a safe manner.
