Mike,
According to my NCRS 1970 - 1972 Judging Manual, under the section for "Side Windows", it reads; "Side glass has "Astro Ventilation" script in white letters at the forward edge." Nowhere in this manual does it specify anything different for A/C vs. non-A/C cars. My '72 is an original A/C car and I have the Astro Ventilation windows.
Hope this is what you are looking for!!

I would have to agrre with Mark, the Astro ventalation has to do with thw air flow thru the car and out the back louvers on the deck I believe, and A/c shouldn't make a difference.

You are correct Sirs! My '70 doesn't have A/C and I have the "Astro-Ventilation" scribing on the side windows. It is referenced in the '70 sales brochure I picked up last year like so:
"Once under way, you can enjoy Astro Ventilation, which routes outside air in, through your choice of high or low vents. A rear deck vent exhausts stale air, for a constant flow, even with the windows closed."

My '69 and '74 both had air and they both said astro vent. It was on the glass from '68 to '74 according to Rik's part listing. Hope that helps.
