Does anyone have any information as to where you can get a re-print of the GM door decal that has the build date, weights and VIN #.  I am getting ready for painting on a 77 that has been several colors over the years. .  Going back to original dark blue. The present decal although in good shape, needs to come off.   The tire pressure decal is available at Ecklers but I can't find anything on getting the build decal....  I don't think I can get the original decal off without trashing it....   Help!!!!!

I got one off of ebay. You'll have to add the information for your car to it, tho.

I was very careful and taped over the decal then painted and came back and pulled the tape and clear coated the whole door jam. Saved the decal..Terry..Nice Joel

Thanks guys!!  I will try Ebay & Corvette Central...  I would try to save it but the door jams have to be stripped, the body shop recommended replacing them..  The car has been 2 shades of blue then red. All those layers and a primer between each have left the decal countersunk into the paint...
