hey ,
i was watching this on e-bay, check out pics item #
320286161883
nice looking vette, but other than the rear window and the ansen mags, i couldnt see any other "motion" items.
as mentioned ,it could be a "motion parts" car.
the previous owners phone number is there in the add if you dont have it.
i believe i had called him back when it was for sale and talked for a while but i dont think he was able to conect it as a "motion" car, i may be wrong, but definitly follow up with him and ask a lot of questions.
i did not right down any of the info, and my memory isnt that great !Confused
still for what you paid, its a great looking vette!! well worthy of driving !!
since its not a "motion" hood a little chrome coming out of it would be cool !
have fun with it !!

Contact Joel Rosen with your VIN.  For a fee, ($1500 last I heard) he will check his records and confirm/deny Motion authenticity.

I was looking for more clues as to it being a motion car. I thought someone might recognize it, as it was originally, and point me in a direction.

$1,500 is a lot of money for nothing. I would gladly pay that price for a certificate of authenticity...unfortunatly I am not a gambling man.

Very nice and interesting!! The pic. of the red car?? Is it thwe white car repainted?? I think thats what you are talking about. Anyway, It very nice no matter what the petigree is.
I more or less figured that Rosen might be one of "Those" angry old men.
It might just be me but if I was the one that had created these car back in the day I would not charge ANYBODY anything to open a drawer and look at some papers. I would be honered that someone was that interested in something I created and would do anything possiable to track down the #'s. But like I said thats just me.

Yes, the car was painted red around 1974.

I agree with you, $1,500 just to look is pretty lame. $1,500 for a certificate of authenticity <SP?> on the other hand, now thats money well spent.
And Joel Rosen is a grouchy old rich &$^#!!!
Thass whut I keeps tellin ya'll! (except for the rich part...that he ain't)

Last I heered, Joel is busy doing scale models of vintage war planes and sech. He WILL search for records for a car if he thinks it might be one of his, but you will have to pay him for that service. If the car is one that is really unusual, like the Manta cars, he'll get excited enough to check it out a little easier. The Phase III cars are just not that big of a deal for him....he really likes the one-offs that he did.
I'd like to know who wound up with the '78 Pacer he had....that he screwed up. Painted all of the silver stuff GOLD metallic, and it had gold Western turbine rims on it with the tires stickin out of the fenders about 3 inches....all of the shiny stuff was gold...it was pretty tacky even back then! I believe it was prolly one of the last cars he did as a Motion car...

He DID put some ZL1engines in some mid '70s cars, too(I know of at least one '73 ZL1 he did)...those weren't Phase 1/2/3 cars, but just killer streeters from Motion....THAT would be one I'd like to find!Adams' Apple2008-09-29 19:02:37
