Does it have the billet fill cap? They were larger diameter than original. Definitely hints of a motion clone....that rear window is no easy glass job....
You can barely get a hint of a quick fill in the bottom photo of The original photo's...but its not obvious so I cant be for sure. It has a cap/lid on it now.
The fast back is proffesional inside and out.

It looked like a Motion GT paint job or was painted to look simular. The early magazines to check would be Hot Rod or Car Craft. As far as Corvette mags or sports car mags maybe someone will know what to look for.

Vette(s): Previous: 1984 Coupe, 1988 Maroon Coupe, 1989 Coupe, 2001 Roadster Present: 1967 Stingray Roadster, 1976 Stingray Coupe, 1989 Roadster..
When I 1st looked at the pic the things that made me say it had a hint of motion were the:
obviouse fast back rear glass
the quickfill cap
paint scheme looks to be motion by the rcing stipe down the center and across the rear tail. As for the wave painted on the side I can't recall that.
You indicate scoops and more but I can't see those from the pic.
Is it possible? maybe..... is it probable.... not likely....
Does it matter ,,,,, Nope!
You have a piece of American Muscle History!
Once you have it restored let the Oooooh's and Ahhhh's begin and you can share the Passion!

Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior.
Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
If you can, contact the company, or dealer, and supply them with the VIN. They are pretty good with caring about the Motion cars history.

I'm happy with the car as "just" a vette and if it is the I'll cut a hole in the hood and let some chrome pop out.
But if it is a motion car...I'd have to take a different direction. I'd try to get it into the hands of someone who could put it back.
I know its hard to see, but I've been playing with the pics in photo shop to the point where I can see the scoop. If you look close in the upper right photo, above the rear wheel, it looks like shadow/reflection. Its not, its a scoop. You can also see a second vette off to the left, what you can see of it looks like a reverse paint job of this one.
In the lower pics, under photo shop, you can pretty much make oput a quick fill.
The original owner is unavalible until next week I have a whole list of questions to ask him and will be more than happy to throw some of yours at him.
Heres what she looks like now:

nice looking vette, but other than the rear window and the ansen mags, i couldnt see any other "motion" items.
as mentioned ,it could be a "motion parts" car.
the previous owners phone number is there in the add if you dont have it.
i believe i had called him back when it was for sale and talked for a while but i dont think he was able to conect it as a "motion" car, i may be wrong, but definitly follow up with him and ask a lot of questions.
i did not right down any of the info, and my memory isnt that great !

still for what you paid, its a great looking vette!! well worthy of driving !!
since its not a "motion" hood a little chrome coming out of it would be cool !
have fun with it !!
