I figured I should post something here since I just got reprimanded for not having been here in over 60 days, so here's my obligatory 60 day post.
Is there any good reason to register a C3 here thats been modified ? I haven't done it , I thought it was mostly for very original NCRS type cars. Mine's got fairly extensive mechanical mod's and I don't plan on going back to original. I'm thinking about a possible Steeroids R&P swap soon and ditching the old power steering garbage. I am always on the lookout for mechanical upgrades that will improve handling and performance.

Register the '73 & show us some pics! This whole site is for fun & info sharing. There seems to be plenty of NCRS purists here but also plenty of folks who express their wild personalities with whatever modifications make them happy!
I've only been a member for about 6 weeks or so yet I've discovered plenty of useful info in that short time. With 30-year-old cars, any problem you have is likely to have been experienced & solved by someone else. It's all just for fun!

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

David,
Welcome aboard. I think we welcome any c3 corvette, modified, or stock. I'm sure you will find this board very informative. There are several vettes heavily modified...

David,
Welcome to the forum. C3 owners are all more than welcome here regardless of whether their ride is stock, modified or still a dream waiting to come true. There was a posting the other day from a 13 year old who just digs Vettes.
If you are into mechanical mods for handling and performance, you will very likely be able to respond to many of the posts from those who are doing mods.
Don't be a stranger. Read through the forums and get active !!

Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
In fact, the registration form has a space for things like "Original Exterior Color" AND "Current Exterior Color".
So yes... register her so we can all share your joy!

Did you have to use spacers with those mag wheels? I read in Richard Newton's book, that spacers aren't a good idea. What do you think of his assertion, and have you had any problems with the mags? Are they Cragar S/S?

Hay David. I believe that everyone is welcomed here!!!!!! If its a Corvette, who cares what "kind" it is. If you do the new steering system, let me know how it works and how hard it was to change over! Don't forget to wave!!!
