By then I am getting the car down and back out on the road when the weather Gods permit.

Winter can be dry or wet here. I am going to cover the car quite well since it will be sitting outside. The plan is a tarp on the bottom, a full car cover, then a tarp on top with an additional color tarp on top to blend in a little better in the yard.
I looked at info on the net and I think it will be better to place some bags in the car just in case moisture levels get high. Last year humidity ran from 30% to 90% depending on precipitation and temps.
