Well Joe, the way I see it is there's 3 types of Vettes. The daily driver, the only in parades or rare occasion driver & the show car. Looks to me like you have a show car there. Its like a fine piece of art and should be preserved that way. Like to see it. Terry

Vette(s): Previous: 1984 Coupe, 1988 Maroon Coupe, 1989 Coupe, 2001 Roadster Present: 1967 Stingray Roadster, 1976 Stingray Coupe, 1989 Roadster..
I would trailer it to death! But.... every once in a great while it would have to come out and enjoy a nice breeze on a summers night.
You paid that premium price for a reason only you can define. We can only speculate our reasoning.
Good Luck with your decision... post some pics so we can appreciate and enjoy your vette too!

Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary model. Original L82 engine, 700r4 trans, edelbrock intake, thorly headers, rack&pinion steering, mono rear and front spring, MSD 6A box
My guess is you are leaning one way and are looking for conformation. I say go with your gut feeling, it will normally make you the happiest. Any way that's my .02

personally I have had many vettes and now am back to 1975 again like I started with 19yrs ago. They always increase in value when you consider how long you own them and how much fun you have driving them. As long as you take care of them it is good to put miles on them to keep them in good condition whether you drive 600 miles a year or 6000 miles a year or more . That is one of the great things about the americas sports car corvette

I'm pretty torn on this one.
One side of me says lock it away, while the other remoinds me how much I love to drive mine, especially after a 2 year restoration.
Therefore, I offer no opinion on this one, I'm having an argument with myself.
I would suggest that you contact your local NCRS Chapter & get the car judged. A good flight score should add value to the car and further deepen your dilema.
Good luck,
Anthony

I would drive it on "special" days, but keep it under 1000 miles on the odometer, then sell it!

Keep the miles off it. Not many of those left. Get another one to drive. Cause they sure are fun.!

Considering where you live, I don't think I would drive it very much. The traffic is crazy where you are. I was just out there, my cousin lives in Hewlett. I would trailer it. I have an '82 with 126K miles on it and I won't drive it over there, I hate traffic.

In my opinion you purchased a trailer queen/show car. I wouldn't even consider driving it. If I wanted to keep it for that purpose I would own a second Vette to drive and enjoy. If I could only have one...it would be a driver. Having said that, it is indeed your car and your decision. Glad you have to make it and not me.

Like somebody said earlier,it has only 454 miles on it,I don't think I would take it out on the road,if it's original,Safety wise I wouldnt trust it on the road.Although it has low miles,it's not a brand new car,all those parts are old, seals go bad sitting, brake lines rot inside, fuel lines dissintegrate inside, wiring gets brittle ,unless the car was totally gone through and updated,I personally wouldn't drive it.I am with the majority,Vettes were made to drive,my 78 has 73k on it,and I drive it,Thats my story, and I'm stickin to it
