has anyone installed an aftermarket cruise control in a c3?

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
I don't think it would be too hard to do. The parts stores sell electric cruise control units, and they should be able to be used on an older car. Your best bet is to buy one and read the instructions, and see if it will work..
