Gene,
Is the Dana Axle plant still open?
We (the company I work for) used to have a bunch of gear manufacturing machines there.

Lots of my friends and relatives worked there. I grew up 1 block from it. I was working at a guy's house today who works there  and he said it isn't looking good. My sister was the Plant Controller in Saracuse, IN plant it closed. Lots of history from the plant in Fort Wayne. They made some good American Parts for a very long time. I think most the machines get shipped to Mexico. Hard to compete. Restructuring pay scale buying employees out etc.. Yes, we talked about it for awhile today.

Too bad. I was in the plant a few years ago, but not recently.
Our plant has been "downsized" as well.
We are becoming a "service" country, except for a few pockets of high tech businesses.

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
Sounds like fun. If i can get away from work i would make the trip out there btu i would most likely fly and rent a car. Still need to rebuild my engine before i go and do a long run again.
