A 700R4 has a final drive of .7:1, compared to the TH 350/400 of 1:1. With an rear end ratio of 2.87:1, a 700R4 may be a bit tall. There is an engine rpm calculator at powerblock.com. Using 285/50R15 tires, you'd be turning 1300 rpm at 55mph. With that rear end, I'd keep the three-speed and spend the money on engine!! Just my two cents...
Has anyone here done the 700R4 or 2004R conversion? If so, how did you handle the torque converter lockup?

Lock up is pretty easy , you can buy a B&M controller , or use a toggle switch like i do because I only want lock up at highway speeds .
