Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
The Vette had an aftermarket AM/FM cassette in it when I bought it, but after about a year of it cutting out everytime I went over a bump (and believe me, there are LOTS of bumps on Michigan roads) I got fed up.

She now has AM/FM/CD, which required alteration to the dash, but at least it doesn't cut out or skip on all these bumpy Michigan roads anymore!

Now just need to upgrade the dash speakers and I am all set.

I only use mine when on a long trip and can't find a classic rock station to listen to. I get alittle alternator whine but it's not to bad.

I still have mine. It works, but would prefer to have a CD.
I'm thinking of putting one in one of the back boxes. That way I don't mess with the dash. Just haven't decided!

Later, all!

Before making a decision, get in touch with Alex at

He is one of the C3VR members and just happens to sell some pieces you might be interested in.
I have a cassette deck also. It is part of a USA5 system...don't bother getting one

I put an after market "Corvette" AM/FM/Cassette radio in my 73. But, the only reason I got the Cassette was because it came in the radio.

All my music is on CD's. So I also put in a 12 Disc RF CD Changer. (The RF plays thru a radio channel.)

Oh life is good... |smile|

But... I prefer to just listen to the purr of the engine and that special growl of the exhaust that only Corvettes can make. |cool|

Oh life is really good... |thumb|
