Car show on Philadelphia area Base for military folks

I am a member of the Pennsylvaina Air National Guard...., 111th Fighter Wing... we operate the A-10 attack aircraft and have been deployed many times over the last few years and have been affected by the BRAC (Base realignment and closure)

 

Anyway, every summer we have a "Family day" where our family members are allowed to come to base with us and we have stuff for the Kids, a picnic style atmosphere.....

 

Last year we hosted a local car club who collects and donates money to our unit family support group...  The Family Suport Group is based to help members and thier families, especially when the unit member is deployed.

 

 the free on base car show was a great success and we hope to host one again this year...

 

I would like to have a section set aside this year for the local C3VR members... perhaps setting up the cars to show the progression from 68-82... I for one can represent 1974...

 

the car show area is secure, you're on base surrounded by military people. We gave a small tour of the base and allowed folks to get up close and personal with the A-10.

Pictures were allowed.....  and folks were allowed to sit in the A-10 that we had on display...

 

Would there be any interest?

I will be able to post date as soon as we know when the family day will be this year. I am just trying to get a feel for interest. In years past, family day is usually the second or third weekend of either june or august.

 

 

 

 

Have to wait when the date is set.   Might have plans around those weekend and month dates.    Besides it's a 2 1/2 hour drive.
