Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
Are you like me, do you hate it when you're driving your non-Vette and see another Vette coming toward you and you're thinking "damn, if I was only in MY Vette!!!"
If there was only some way of letting these people know that you own a Vette too!
Oh well.

Hey Adam, Even when I don't see a vette in sight and I'm driving my Beater I think, If I only I were in my Vette, and when I do see a vette while driving my Beater I acknowledge the Driver with a big Grin and a thumbs-up, and if they notice me with a big grin staring at them they know....they know.
Then again they may be thinking, what a loser, it doesn't matter to me what they are thinking I take solice in knowing that I have a Vette too, neener neener neener......

So, thats what those thumbs up and big grins mean......another Vette owner
I always have to hold back the wave when I'm not in the Shark, I wonder if the other guy will think I'm nuts
now I'll give them the thumb and a grin.

It seems like I see more Vettes when I'm not in mine.

I have exactly the same problem!
As soon as I get in my Vette and start driving, all other Vettes seem to be in their driveways.
Then I get in my truck, and every Vette in the world is out and about! Doh!

You guys are not alone, seems like it all the time.
Do any of you guys gave trouble with the C5s kind of ignoring you? Not always but more times than not they seem to miss the wave, sure hope they don't think there alittle better than us C3s, cause when the fogger is functional, I'll open a cann of Whoop-Ass on them like they never seen

Vette(s): 1973 Coupe - was L82, auto, air, standard interior. Now has 1987 350 TBI, 700r4, 4:56, Fiero seats, new interior, PPG base/clear (BMW Hellrot Red), Alloy wheels, chambered exhaust, headers, small cam, interval wipers, cruise, front spoiler.
Sometimes I forget which car I'm in when I wave at other Corvettes. I get a stupid grin then realize I'm in the Miata. Most wave back though.

Dave,
Yes, I've had that problem with C5s. They seem to either be snobs about their C5, or they are too new to Vette ownership that they don't know about the

Maybe GM should put the WAVE in the C5 hand book? No that woudn't work either, most don't read them. But I would think they would know or catch on, we'll just have to try and keep waving
