who uses camquest?

is it accurate,or  how close is it?

I never heard of it until now. Looks like a good way of picking a cam. Back in the day we'd all put the biggest lumpiest cam in our pretty much stock engines with poor results. It sounded cool though. LOL

My recommendation since the engine with be apart is to invest the extra money to convert over a roller cam. Less friction, more efficient and you'll never worry about a cam lobe going round. If you do stick with the traditional flat tappet cam make sure your engine oil has a high amount of "Zinc" / ZDDP in it.  This will help prevent the cam from getting wiped out.

hi sarge,we are building with edelbrock performer rpm topend. set up

using comp cam high energy 268h.mainly cos I have it and it's in good condition.

might get 400 horses as compression is a tad over 9/1 but be happy if over 350.
