Vette(s): 1979 Red T-Top - Previously owned by Adam Wartell and a 1970 Orange T-Top w/Baldwin Motion Exterior mods Flared fenders,Rear slanted window and spoiler all done in early seventies, 4 inch Hooker side pipes, ET III wheels LT-1 4speed
Well I finally have time to get Adam's old Corvette into the shop to start on it. I bought it in May drove it for days tagged it and the power steering went out so its been sitting here resting. Time for Paint !!! We opted to sand it rather that strip it as the Body was in Great shape and still has all of its original panels. The paint was Sunburned but not peeling anywhere. So far the front has been sanded seams repaired and some small areas addressed and its now in its first coat of 2K primer for one of many Block sanding parties!!! I am getting ready to cut the front fenders to fit the optional front spoiler. More updates shortly.

Ha Ha..................thats the best it has ever looked!
Glad your bringing it back to life, I know it was with heavy heart that the big guy sold it. He will for sure buy it back for 3X the money once it's done!
He'll just have to hide it from momma

It's good to see Adam's old ride found a new home and a new lease on life.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I was just wondering the other day what happened to the car and the new owner. Can't wait to see it finished!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Cool!! Adam, don't spend that do-re-mi yet!!

I'd recommend shooting some epoxy sealer before getting to your next primer layers. Years of sunburn surely have soaked some things into that paint that grease and wax remover won't find.
