I broke the passenger side mirror glass t-top on Ian today. It looks like number on the top is DOT 15 M92A but is hard to make out. Anyone else know what their numbers are on their 78 glass mirror T-Tops are? I currently looking on ebay for a replacement and have found a few but want to make sure I get the right matching one. Colleen wants an old one not new replacements. And boy is she mad as hell at me!

DOT 15 M92A is simply the glass catagory(use, as in front, rear, side, etc.) and the date code for the glass. I'd need to get a book out to de-code the date, unless someone else is closer...

DOT 15 =Dept. of transportation rating
M92 = Corvette
A = Month (Should be Sept., but I don't have the date codes for '78) Adams' Apple38877.2006134259

I let a metal bed frame I was carrying in the garage slip off my hands and the edge hit the top-Shattered!  I cringed every time I heard the cracks rippling. but low and behold we got a replacement with matching numbers at the Syracuse Corvette Barn today. the owner ,  Bob, really likes Colleen and her love for her vette so he brought out 4 different ones he had gotten off different vettes he has worked on for parts over the years.Three were blue mirror ones number M1131, and one was M92A.  It matches great and I'm only out $600 for my mistake, whew!!!! but i would still like to know what numbers a 78 Pace Car has on its glass mirror tops.

I see you already got one. But for others and future reference I had to say I agree with Reid. I bought my T-tops from http://www.corvettettops.com 5 yrs ago. The owner Derek Harkema was great to deal with. And no problems with the tops still to this day.
