Sorry to here about your misfortune,but this post has helped to clear up my misunderstandings. Last weekend the dealership held a NCRS show and I had noticed the towels/rags covering all the "Chromed" air cleaners and thought that the owners were just trying to prevent damage to the cover itself. Never thought about reflective damage. I will make sure that if I'm every in a show to cover the air cleaner and I'm sure you have also helped others prevent damage. Again sorry but Thanks.
