I recently purchased a 1971 which the seller just wanted out of the garage. When first looking at the car I wanted to make sure the numbers matched (which they did). On the block were the numbers and letters (V050CJK) and also the air cleaner is says 330 horsepower. What other numbers can be viewed (besides the tank sticker) if this is a 270 HP which I thought it was or if it’s a LT-I 330 HP car.
I appreciate you help in this mystery.

CJK reflects a 1971 350 ci 270 hp. with Auto tranny. Base SBC engine. The experts will correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree. There are also a lot of small clues. For example, the base motor fuel pump has a deep bowl, while the LT1 has a shallow one.

The 71 LT-1 would have a CGZ.

Joel, I kinda ruled out the chance of the zr-1.
Besides I thought it was cool it LOOKED like I knew something about these cars!
