oh I know I can buy a new one, just thought maybe someone on here had one they no longer needed because they sold their 81, etc.

Glad to hear that you found your 81 assembly manual. Just an FYI I can't remeber the source but I have all the factory assembly manuals frpm 1963 to 1982. They are on 4 CD's. The were produced by Dave Graham Auto Literature. They came in handy when I had my, 71, 73, 75, and 79 C3's. They are also a great resource that helps me answer questions on the various Corvette groups like this one. They also contain the GM Part numbers, Torques, and adjusting procedures.
