1969 CORVETTE 427 ENG. 4SP. AIR.( WATER DAMAGE)

There is a lot of work involved, but it seems to be very repairable.  If I had more time and money I would look into the project.    But I don't have either.

Apparently, $15,100 ain't enough to buy it!
I'd be askeered of it. The main cage of the body is going to suffer a LOT of rust damage due to being underwater. All of the gauges are probably junk now, too. The engine/trans/diff would be OK, tho.
I think $15,000 would be a very generous price for it.

Whoever buys that one needs to be prepared to completely disassemble the car. The longer it sits without cleaning, the worse it's gonna get. Adam's right, sounds a little pricey for what it's going to need. Maybe part it out?

Guys, Im work in the insurance biz, Im at Chubb who under writes Grundy.  From what my experts tell me both automotive and insurance, unless its something like an L88, RUN fast and far from ANY submerged car.  The car has to be completely disassembled.  The electric system is gone, the fiberglass will most likely distort, dry and misform, the paint iwill be coming off.  The motor has to come out and be rebuilt.  Suspension is shot, interior is shot.  PLUS depending where the car was, it could be a petrie dish and toxic...  Nah not for me.. 

This guy's got to be a genius.....he could start the engine without the spark plugs!!!??? I wanna know how he did that!! He also changed the 427 V8 into a 427 V6!!????    Too much to list!!

He needs to grease his rear end (not the car), so he won't be so confused....

It's a good thing the reserve was not met!! YIKES!!

I'm sure whomever buys this one will be the one that needs the grease in the rear!

All true, but if it was cheep enough, I could do it.  I have done work like this before.

But it would have to be CHEEP,  and IT"S NOT!!  And for someone to pay labor as well as parts, it would be a loosing deal.

The seller is nuts to try to get that kind of money.

Whoever buys that one will put at least another 20K into it to make it pristine again.  So 15K+ is too much for my interest!
