Yes I have driven mine in the rain. Never in the snow though. We only get 7 months here without snow. I do drive it at least 3 days a week to work which is a 1/2 hour drive one way. I also take it out on weekends. As I said before it is very reliable. I put about 3500 miles on it a year.

Enjoy the ride,

I'm sure you all know my theory by now....drive it ! Mine goes out year round. It has not been caught in the snow yet but has seen it's share of rain. I did try my '93 in the snow this year, it was not very happy but it handled everything well except my driveway. It just sat there and shook it's head until I cleaned the driveway down to bare blacktop.

I don't think I would try mine in the snow. Its hard enough around here with my 4x4 in the winter. We had close to 6" on the roads every morning for 2 months. My vette gets good traction but I think that would be too much. |haha| I'll be getting mine out in about a week. The weather should be in the 60's and all the snow will be gone for good.

Enjoy the drive.......... |saluteflag|

I think Privategod has nailed it right on the head. To each their own on how often and where they drive 'em. We all place different values and have different motives for owning a vette. On top of that, comparing the museum types to the driving enthusiast crowd is an apples & oranges comparison. The extreme museum types just aren't motivated by driving enthusiasm. Besides, if those types weren't out there than those of us looking for a 'new' 30 year old car would have no where to go!!

I myself relate well to BlueL36. I love to drive it but I don't want it to deteriorate in any way (that and the top leaks like a sieve). Plus with a 99 octane fuel requirement its much more a toy than a daily driver.

Don't forget the practical side though....I've owned muscle cars for over 15 years and living in the snow belt you spend much of the time storing them. I've found that the more they are stored the more they break down. I can't tell you how many times I've had rusted up brakes or seals that leaked on cars that weren't driven! When you store 'em a lot they break everytime you drive 'em. I now drive mine 3 times a week and have almost no problems.

All in all, its not a simple question.
