With my trek to Eboland still fresh in my mind and with my upcoming trip to Carlisle, The NCM and trips that follow, I was wondering about getting a small trailer for the vette.  Something about the size of a motorcycle trailer.  Maybe I would make one out of a car carrier and small trailer from harbor freight.  My questions are:
Has anyone tried this and to what success?
What size tire would be best, is 8" good enough or should I go with 12"?
Trailer hitch advice as well which and who to install?
Thanks,
Dave C..........My mantra: I can not be bought!!      Long and short term leases available.

Yeah Sarge....it's the wrong COLOR.....LOL LOL

Dave, LOTS of the Goldwing guys use the Harbor Freight trailers with  car-top carriers to tow behind the Goldwings. Just the right size. They ALL seem to agree that the small tires are NOT good enough. 12" or larger is best. Another thing to consider with the tire size is state laws. They restrict your speed to 55mph(or lower) depending on trailer tire size.
Another thing suggested on that trailer is to remove some of the leaf springs on it.....apparently, it's too stiff the way they come.
Trailer hitch? Not a clue. U-Haul might have some info on that. Thumbs Up

I had a hitch on my '78 SA and towed a 16 ft Glastron with it.  (I also had to replace the half-shaft u-joints a couple years later Clown)

Chevy offered an option on 77-81 Vettes, ZN1 , trailer hitch for $89 I would go with Joel, larger wheels for higher speed and stability. On the web, enter corvette trailer hitch , you will see plenty of posts from those who used a vette as a hauler . Keep us in the loop. Big Al

ok I picked up a used car carier (Sears X Cargo) off Craigslist for $20.  U-haul will install a hitch with electronics and pin for $233.  I thought that was pretty good considering buying it without install would be $190.  If I can spare my back the aggravation, great.
